Laundry
Clean and freshen by adding two capfuls of Bosisto's EucalyptusOil
to each washing load or use the wool wash recipe. Ideal for overalls,
sportswear, socks, nappies and especially sheets and towels.
It
leaves a fresh smelling linen cupboard and lowers the risk of moths
or silverfish.
Bosisto’s Wool Wash Recipe
The following recipe is excellent for soft and fluffy woollens.
Pure Soap Flakes ½ packet (300g)
Methylated Spirits 1 cup (200mL)
Bosisto's Eucalyptus Oil 1 small bottle (50mL)
Mix methylated spirits with soap flakes. Add Bosisto’s Oil
and stir. Store in wide necked screw capped jar. Use one tablespoon
per mixture per garment. Dissolve in a small quantity of hot water
then pour into lukewarm wash water. Hand or machine wash on wool
cycle. No need to rinse unless white garments are being stored for
a long period - rinsing reduces the risk of yellowing. Squeeze and
roll in towel to remove excess water. Keep garments in shape
while drying out of direct sunlight.
Pre-Wash, Clothes Spot & Stain Remover
Remove oil soluble grease and grass marks, spots and stains from
clothes and fabric with an Oil moistened cloth. Where possible,
place an absorbent cloth under the stained area. Brush towards the
centre of the mark to prevent the formation of a ring. The Spray
can be used to deodorise and clean under shirt arms before washing.
Bosisto's is generally harmless to material and it does not stain
or smear. However it is recommended to patch test a small area first.
Bathroom
Toilet
Freshen and deodorise with Bosisto's Eucalyptus Spray.
Two capfuls of Oil in toilets and drains is an excellent disinfectant,
antibacterial cleanser and deodoriser. It is non-toxic for drains
and an environmentally friendly way to clean.
Benches
To clean and disinfect use Bosisto’s Eucalyptus Oil or Spray
to wipe bench tops and sink. The disinfectant properties will kill
germs and deodorise the area, leaving your bathroom with a fresh
fragrance and sparkling clean.
Tiles & Shower
For a natural way to clean tiles in the bathroom and shower, use the famous Bosisto’s Wool Wash Recipe mixture.
Use a concentration of the mixture, dampen the tiles or benches
and either use a scrubbing brush or wipe to clean dirty marks. Rinse
after cleaning and wipe dry. To clean the shower screen, use Bosisto’s
Spray. Wipe down with newspaper for a clear finish.
General Cleaning
Sparkling Floors
Add two capfuls of Bosisto's Eucalyptus Oil to the water when washing
floors. It's great for cleaning and deodorising and leaves the house
smelling fresh and clean.
Freshens & Cleans
Bosisto's Eucalyptus Spray has the pure, fresh fragrance of the
Australian bush. It's the perfect natural freshener, ideal for the
toilet, bathroom and sick room and for clearing stale smoke fumes.
After cleaning bedroom cupboards, spray the floor and walls to get
rid of musty or damp odours.
Disinfectant
To disinfect and clean the telephone, door handles, bench tops,
bins and other areas, simply wipe with a clean cloth moistened with
Bosisto’s Eucalyptus Oil, or use the Spray. A natural germ
killer, it creates a healthy environment for your family.
Carpet Stain Remover
Stains, grease, oil and grass marks are easy to remove. Use the Spray or an oil moistened cloth on spots and stains and wipe away with a clean absorbent cloth. Brush towards the centre of the mark to prevent the formation of a ring. Your carpet stays dry and ready for use. It is recommended to patch test a small area first.
Adhesive Labels & Bandages
Bosisto’s Oil or Spray is excellent for removing sticky adhesive
labels and bandages from articles without damage or abrasion.
Dampen a cloth and rub the required area. Leave one minute to help
the label peel off. As a precaution, test on unseen area first.
Chewing Gum, Paint, Ballpoint Ink Marks
Quickly remove chewing gum, paint and ballpoint ink marks from clothes,
shoes and furnishings with a cloth soaked in Bosisto’s Oil
or by using the Spray. Also excellent for cleaning ink, printing
ink, carbon and other marks off most plastic and vinyl.
Test on unseen area first to ensure it will not affect plastic surface.
Outdoors
Garden Spray Recipe
Bosisto’s Garden Spray has become very popular with home gardeners
because it is natural and non-residual.
Mix your own spray using this easy-to-make formula:
Bosisto's Eucalyptus Oil 5mL (1 teaspoon)
Canola Oil 20mL (4 teaspoons)
Dishwashing Detergent 2mL (1 - 2 squirts)
Water 1 litre (5 - 6 cups)
Spray around seedlings and at the base of plants.
Repeat as necessary. Ideal for earwigs, slugs, snails and slaters.
Do not store made up spray. Thoroughly wash sprayer after use.
Insect Repellent
Bosisto's Eucalyptus Spray is an excellent mosquito repellent. To
prolong protection, rub on a mixture of Bosisto’s Oil and
vegetable or baby oil. The oil can also be used alone or mixed with
kerosene in flares, lanterns or lamps to deter mosquitos.
Dog Wash
Add a capful of Bosisto’s Eucalyptus Oil to water when washing
dogs to remove fleas.
Pet owners find Bosisto’s Spray excellent for freshening and
deoderising pet quarters.
Colds & Flu
As an inhalation to help relieve colds add 2mL
(1/2 teaspoon) of Bosisto’s Oil per litre of steaming
hot water to a bowl and inhale vapour, covering head with a
towel. For all night relief many people use Bosisto’s
in their vaporiser to help assist breathing and sleep. For easier
daytime breathing, sprinkle a few drops on a handkerchief and
inhale. To freshen and disinfect a sick room, use Bosisto's
Eucalyptus Spray. |

Children's Colds
Dilute Bosisto’s Eucalyptus Oil with an equal part of baby
oil or any vegetable oil and gently massage on to the child's chest
and back to help clear air passages and make it easier to breathe.
Muscular Aches & Pains
Bosisto’s Eucalyptus helps give soothing relief from muscular
aches and pains, arthritis, sprained tendons and bruised and sore
muscles. Gently massage Oil into affected areas until a warm glow
is felt. Repeat as required.
For athletes and those involved in sport, Bosisto’s can be
used before exercise as a warming, soothing liniment to help loosen
and relax muscles. Massage Bosisto’s Oil or Spray into muscles
until a warm glow is felt.
Bath & Foot Bath
Add one to two capfuls of Bosisto’s Eucalyptus to bath water
to restore the body and invigorate the senses. One capful in a foot
bath gives comforting relief to sore and aching feet.
Insect Bites
To help ease the pain and give quick relief from minor insect bites,
apply Bosisto’s Eucalyptus Oil or Spray directly to site.
Do not rub in. Repeat as necessary.
Antiseptic
To help reduce infection and promote healing, dab wound gently with cotton wool soaked in Bosisto’s Eucalyptus Oil or bathe in a warm water solution with a capful of Oil.
Asthma & Allergies
Reducing dust mites in the home lowers the risk and number of asthma attacks. Bosisto's Eucalyptus Oil and Bosisto's Eucalyptus Spray are highly effective in killing and controlling house dust mites. Use the Spray (on mattresses, pillows, carpets, sofas, soft toys) and the Oil (in the laundry wash) combined to help reduce the allergens that can cause asthma and allergy attacks.
