From scrapes to socks …Bosisto’s Tea Tree is Summer’s Fresh Solution

TTWNPGraphicAh, the scents of summer… frangipani blooms, sun-warmed washing hanging on the line, cold lemonade icypoles and… sweaty socks?

Unfortunately summer’s hotter temperatures mean stinky feet can go into overdrive, particularly with the extra outdoor activity of sports days and get-fit campaigns.  In gyms particularly, germs and fungi can lurk where hundreds of bare feet tread daily.

Luckily Bosisto’s has a natural answer to help keep your family’s toes fresh.  Bosisto’s Tea Tree Spray is a natural antiseptic, antifungal and deodoriser, containing 100% pure premium grade Tea Tree Oil.

No more need for messy creams – Bosisto’s Tea Tree Spray is easy to apply directly to feet with fast, even distribution. It dries within seconds, helping protect against tinea after work, sport or play.

The unique spray format is perfect for shoes, too.  Spray inside runners or work boots to help kill bacteria, freshen and eliminate odours.

Got a huge load of smelly socks?  Pop them in the washing machine and add a capful or two of Bosisto’s Tea Tree Oil.  They’ll come out fresh and hygienic.

Summer sports can lead to those inevitable cuts, scrapes and bruises.

Before the first casualty cries “Muuuuum!” make sure you have a can of Bosisto’s Tea Tree Spray on hand.  Its natural antiseptic properties make it perfect for minor cuts and scrapes – and it takes the itch out of insect bites too.

Pet areas can benefit from a Tea Tree freshening too.  If Fido’s kennel and blankets get a bit whiffy, give them a spray or launder with Bosisto’s Tea Tree to keep the area fresh.

Inside the home, spray rubbish bins (and wheelie bins!), cupboards, drawers or window sills where mould and mildew accumulate – Tea Tree Oil helps inhibit mould growth and kill bacteria.

With so many handy uses, Bosisto’s Tea Tree is this summer must-have.

You can find Bosisto’s Tea Tree Spray – RRP $12.95 for 100g - in pharmacy or Woolworths supermarkets (in the medicinal aisle).

Tea Tree Oil –  Fresh Facts!

 Did you know?

  • On average each foot has over 250,000 sweat glands and can produce up to half a cup of sweat per day?  Ew!
  • Tea Tree was first used for therapeutic purposes by Australian Aborigines who used to wrap the leaves around wounds to help heal and soothe.  They would also crush the leaves and use as an insect repellent.
  • In the early 1900’s, Dr. A. R. Penfold, a chemist in Sydney, found that Tea Tree Oil was 13 times stronger in killing bacteria than carbolic acid… the universal standard antiseptic back then (much gentler on the skin too, one would suspect!)
  • Tea Tree Oil is a powerful anti-viral and fungicide, with many studies proving its effectiveness for tinea.
  • It can also be used around the home and in air-conditioning and ventilation systems to inhibit mould growth.
  • Tea Tree Oil was included in the mess kits of World War II soldiers fighting in the tropics, to assist with infections, wounds and foot care.
  • Ticks, fleas, lice… tea tree is a natural bug-zapper!  Dab on insect bites or add a capful to your wash when you launder pet bedding.
  • The Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) is native to the north coast of New South Wales, and its essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the freshly harvested foliage.
