Got a wee problem? Bosisto's to the rescue!
There are two things toddlers and puppies have in common. One, they're both adorable. Two, they can be, well - a little untrained, in the toileting area.
But that's okay. Because you have Bosisto's! Eucalyptus oil with its anitbacterial, stain removing and deodorising properties is pretty much the perfect companion for any toilet-training household, whether it's an gorgeous new ball of fluff or it's time to graduate to the big boy or girl undies.
So read on, because here is the Ultimate Toilet Training Stain Survival Guide (UTTSSG, not as catchy).
Your ideal toilet training house would be ALL wooden floors, tiles or lino. So if yours is, congratulations! All you really need for a wee puddle is some paper towel to mop it up and a can of Bosisto's Eucalyptus Spray. This will quickly disinfect the area without leaving it wet. Weekly mopping with two capfuls of Bosisto's Eucalyptus Solution in your mop bucket will help keep floors fresh as a daisy. Or a eucalyptus forest, as it were.
Carpet & upholstery puddles
A tad more challenging, but still no match for the power of eucalyptus. Time is of the essence here - get to that puddle quick smart and soak up as much of the wetness as possible, with paper towel, a hand towel (or whatever you have handy). When it's as dry as possible, get a small bowl and mix a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and warm water, then add 1/2 a capful of your preferred essential oil - we like eucalyptus for this job. Take a cloth, like a Chux and gently dip into the mixture and blot at the stained area. Try not to go nuts and make it really wet, because that's how your carpet gets stained and dirty as dust and grime is attracted to wet spots. After dabbing with your DIY carpet cleaner, dry the area again with a towel. Instea of the vinegar solution, you can also use a capful of Bosisto's Eucalyptus Solution in warm water.
Clothing & bedding
Every parent or carer knows it's always a wise idea to have a spare pair of clothes, or three or four, when the toilet training L-Plates are on. For those ones that got sacrificed in the meantime? Urine-stained clothes and bedding can get a quick rinse and go straight in the washing machine - add 2 capfuls of Eucalyptus Oil as a laundry rinse to help kill germs, freshen and remove unwanted odours. It can go in either at the start, or in the rinse cycle.
For the "other" type of soiled article, a good soak is often necessary. After rinsing, use up to 1 scoop of Bosisto's Laundry Powder in 5 litres of warm water and soak the garment overnight before laundering. For really tough stains, a scrub with our famous Bosisto's PreWash Stain Remover, with anitbacterial eucalyptus oil, should do the trick. As a bonus, all Bosisto's Laundry products are dermatologically tested so kind on your toddler's sensitive skin.
Also if you don't have them already - get a waterproof mattress protector, like these, They're an excellent investment and save precious time spent changing bedding in the wee hours (unintentional, but good pun!) when you could be watching the inside of your eyelids.
Toilet smells & spills
They've successfully made it to the toilet - hurrah! However, whether all of it went in, is another story. To clean up after the thrills and spills of toilet time, give our new Bosisto's Multi-Purpose Spray a go. Or you can wipe down the area with a damp cloth and Bosisto's Eucalyptus Solution. Don't forget to keep a can of eucalyptus spray in there for a final blast of freshness (for little people they sure do have grown up smells).
Pet litter trays and sleeping areas can be cleaned & deodorised in exactly the same way, too. Note: cats as a rule don't much like essential oils, so do be careful if you're using around them.
